Setting Up An RSS Feed

An RSS feed is simply a specially formatted text file that you place on your web site (you need to make sure the RSS feed is always at the same exact URL).

The RSS feed file simply contains your most recent news stories (usually headlines, a brief summary, and links to the web pages with the full text of the story).

The advantage of having an RSS feed on your site, is people with news reading software, and other web sites (including news search engines) can pick up your latest news stories, automatically. Consequently, if you want your latest news and press releases to appear in news search engines, having an RSS feed can help.

Note: While RSS feeds are often associated with Blogging (many Blogging scripts automatically generate RSS feeds), they can infact by used on any web site - you just need to set one up.
